Assuming Makes You Look Like an Ass

Why it sucks.

There is probably some growth hacker article out there that says “attack your prospects ego, they are sure to respond positively to your attack.”

🚫 Don’t flat out lie in your emails, if you haven’t truly been paying attention to your prospect over the last year, don’t say it.

🚫 Don’t dangle a carrot, if you have spent the time to actually capture valuable feedback for a prospect, share it with them in your email.

🚫 Don’t assume you are able to provide a customized strategy before you’ve ever had a single conversation with a prospect.

✅ Make a list of prospects you are truly interested in working with and then put in the work, follow them, research them, gain as much knowledge as you can, and then reach out. Your message will carry a lot more weight.
