This is Issue 31, Yesterday, as i was triaging my inbox, i opened up an email from Substack with the subject line of ‘Introducing the Substack Bestseller badge - A check mark worth paying attention to’, a way to highlight the most popular authors on the platform, and my instant reaction was, “Wow, this is such a horrible idea.”

This is Issue 30, We can run incredibly profitable companies without being a sociopath. We can run high performing teams without being a sociopath. We can rise through the ranks of our organizations without being a sociopath. But until we as a society can hold the many sociopath leaders that run many of our largest and “most well respected” organizations responsible for their bad behavior, rather than celebrating them as the heroes of the business world, i fear nothing will change for the better.

This is Issue 29, Let’s not be the type of person that is on this list, instead, lets be the type of person that is driven to help guide the next generation, that truly has the desire to see people learn from our journey, not with the hope that they reach the same destination that we did but that they surpass it.

This is Issue 28, For us and 33 Sticks? We don’t have an exit plan, not because we haven’t talked about it, not because we don’t have a strategy, but because our purpose is not to be acquired, our purpose is to create an amazing brand, and sustainable company, that has a positive impact on the world and that ultimately outlives us.

This is Issue 27, i guess what i’m saying is that it’s ok, maybe more so then ever as our teams get distributed around the world, to just hangout as a team. Do fun things together. Just be humans without having to have some elaborate plan to learn some meaningful business lesson. Heh…i guess that IS a business lesson, isn’t it?
